I was the full-time staff reporter for The Business Report and the Renton and Kent magazines from October 2004 through August 2010. From August 2010 through September 2014, I worked full-time as the news reporter for the Puyallup Herald covering community news of east Pierce County.

I am a 2003 graduate of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington and hold a Bachelor’s of Arts in Print Journalism with a minor in Political Science.

I have a strong passion for community journalism and aspire to accuracy and balanced reporting in my writing. I also specialize in business magazine journalism. I’m especially interested in music journalism and currently publish a blog called Northwest Indie Music, which reports on new up and coming indie bands and artists in the greater Puget Sound region and Northwest.
